That was a bit of a misleading title because I haven’t really had any real cravings with my pregnancy so far.  Like I am not saying to Dan at 9 pm I want a cheeseburger and fries from McDonald’s, nor do I feel the need to have ice cream all the time.  The closest thing I have gotten a craving is wanting a butternut squash soup from Panera Bread.

With that said, I have let my guard down when it comes to food during my pregnancy.  Typically, when I am not pregnant, I am very calculated with the foods I eat and what I don’t eat.  I try to be very mindful and always choose the healthiest option.

With pregnancy, I care a lot less.  I live more in that, “I do what I want” mentality.  I don’t eat like a total ass, but I know I am getting bigger either way, so I might as well eat the cookie and all the carbs.

Giving myself that little more wiggle room with what I eat has really opened my eyes and expanded my imagination to some of the cool fun stuff that’s out there.

Since I will definitely NOT be going out or dressing up this year, I obviously have been on Pinterest for far too long looking up fun Halloween themed foods.  I am not kidding when I say I have been looking for days, and I found myself in the black hole of cool party mixes I have never ever heard of.

I have narrowed it down to 3, and honestly, I am going to make all three and then will determine which is best.  It’s the only way to truly know…

I feel like I need to add that I am also not making this for a group of people or a party… this is legit just for Dan and I to indulge in, alone and I am freaking pumped.

So here they are, the three mixes I am making, and am actually salivating over them…

1. Bear Lake Trail Mix: In a large bowl add:

  • 2 bags regular Chex Mix
  • 1 bag Bugles
  • 1 bag Chocolate Chip Teddy Grahams {I couldn’t find these, so I used Mini Chips Ahoy}
  • 1 bag Pretzel M&M’s
  • 1 bag Licorice Bits
  • I bag Swedish Fish
  • 1 bag Goldfish cracker

2. Trash Mix Recipe:  In a large bowl add:

  • 1 package candy corn
  • 1 package pretzel nibblers
  • 1 (12-ounce) package caramel popcorn and peanuts
  • 1 (15-ounce) package banana chips
  • 1 (15-ounce) package candy-coated chocolate pieces
  • 1 (15-ounce) package dried mango
  • 1 (15-ounce) package dried pineapple
  • 1 (10-ounce) package toffee pretzels
  • 1 (6-ounce) package sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1 (6-ounce) package worm-shaped chewy candy

3. Fall Harvest Snack Mix: In a large bowl add:

  • 4 cups bugels
  • 4 cups honey nut chex cereal
