THIS WEEKS BLOG!! “Back to School, Back to Business - Start your “school year” out the right way 👊🏻” . . . First I think we all need to take a moment to really take in the overall and pig tail look I rocked on the first day of Kindergarten. Kudos to Gail for really making me look like the new cool kid in town.... pink lunch box and all!! . . . Though, this blog isn’t about my cute pig tails or my rad overall outfit. It’s about the habits and routines that my parents put into place once the school year kicked in. . . . During the summer my siblings and I were wild kids running around at camps and the beach, with more lenient rules at home. . . Then the school year hit, and we all fell into a routine because my parents established habits and rules we had to follow during the “school year”. . . This week’s blog is about some of those habits I, and I am sure many of us, had as kids growing up. . . Habits that we would probably benefit from if we still followed them today... . . Check it out and let me know what you think!!! . . What were some of your “school year” routines and habits?? . . #backtoschool #backtobusiness #habits #mindfulmillennial
Almost every day at lunch I take a couple of minutes, or a lot of minutes, to get outside (if weather permits) and move. . . . Sometimes it’s to get my body moving. . . Sometimes it’s a chance to get outside for some fresh air. . . Sometimes it’s for sunshine. . . Sometimes it’s a couple minutes to let myself mentally reset. . . And every time it’s exactly what I needed. . . Allow yourself to take a break. Give yourself the time to pause and get centered so you can keep moving forward. . . #mindfulmillennial #lunchwalks #movemore
Watching this sunset this weekend was truly magical. ✨ . . Dan and I had a rare date night just us two and as we were getting ready I randomly thought and said. ‘Let’s drive to the beach and see if we can catch the sunset before dinner. ‘ . . We headed over and saw that the park would close in 35 minutes. As we drove to the farthest point of the park, we watched the sky light up with color. Then we drove up to a little side beach with only one parking spot left. Dan finagled his way into a parallel parking spot. We walked onto the beach and there was a perfectly placed, washed up piece of drift wood waiting for us to sit on it. We sat and caught the last 15 minutes of this amazingly beautiful sunset. . . It all worked out so perfectly and so timely, all from a random thought and act. . . This 30 minutes of my weekend reminded me of two things. . . 1. If you have a hunch, thought, or voice in your head telling you to do something. Listen to it and act on it. . . 2. These little beautiful moments is what life is all about. Sunsets, smiles, and holding hands with the person and people you love. . . . #mindfulmillennial #sunsets #mondaymorningthoughts
New Blog on the loose!! “This tool has totally changed my life...” I have always been and will always be a big dreamer. I dream the big audacious dream, I believe they will come true, and I do everything I possibly can to work towards achieving them. I go to conferences, read the books, listen to podcasts, have a coach, write what I am grateful for, plan, prep and work my butt off. But this one tool seemed to put all those dreams on fast forward... check out my blog to see what that is and what has happened... 😉 https://emily-rose.blog What’s your big audacious dream you are working towards? #dreambig #mindfulmillennial #millennialblogger #dowhatyoulove #lovewhatyoudo
Trying really hard to not be totally depressed that the summer weekends have come to an end.. So instead I’m trying to remember every beautiful moment. Hope you enjoyed every second of it 💛 #summergirl 📷: @kganci
NEW BLOG UP! “What I learned from a tour guide, a chef, and Michelangelo...” . . . Italy is known for its laid-back culture, focused around food family and an appreciation for the things that are all around them. . . Going into our trip to Italy I was expecting to see everyone living ONLY that type of lifestyle. . . I absolutely did see this, but once I really learned more about our local tour guide, our chef, and the life of Michelangelo, I realized there was so much more to the people than that. . . Like any good book, when you dig deeper in, there is always more than what meets the eye, and I absolutely found that here in Italy, in its people. . . Check out my blog at https://emily-rose.blog to read more about the amazing people I met and what I learned about them. 💛 . . #mindfulmillennial #dowhatyoulove #lovewhatyoudo #thereshetravels #lessonslearned
