Fun fact. This is a group of women I met in my new hometown. We ALL just had our first baby, we ALL have baby boys, and they were ALL born in February. Insane, right?!After reading @shannonleyko book, “You’re Completely Normal” (my inspiration for this year)she talked a lot about having mom friends, and how important it is to have that type of support group.Being the first of most of my friends to have kids, I really wanted that. A group of women in my town who I could go through this next chapter in life with.I met one of my mom friends, Courtney, on a walk in July and I immediately knew I wanted to be her friend. She was the friendliest, bubbliest person I had ever met, and I was praying we would cross paths and become best friends.Then I found out in October, she was also pregnant with a boy. Then she introduced me to two other women who ALSO were having boys, and get this, we were all due only weeks apart.Fast forward to today, we all had our babies in February and we all get together for weekly lunches while on maternity leave.I can’t begin to explain how much life this girl gang gives me. We talk about all things baby, and not. And we walk away feeling, “okay I’m not alone in this.” I always feel seen, supported, loved, and recharged.It truly is such a gift, and I’m so grateful for it.Girl gangs are truly the greatest blessing. Whether that is through school, work, dance, your sport, your kids, your family. They hold your hand and help you through that season of life.So this is kind of like a #wcw, but on a Friday?? For all the groups of women I have met throughout my life.You guys truly are just the best, thanks for carrying me through. 💛👭🏼#wcw

Every morning I stare at this little man for at LE

Every morning I stare at this little man for at LEAST 45 minutes straight. Sometimes he’s awake and we talk, sometimes he gets a little flirty and sneaks out little smiles that make me giggle like a school girl, and sometimes I just watch him as he sleeps. 🤱🏼But seeing this little face every single morning is the best part of my day.Becoming a mom is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me in this lifetime. I can’t even begin to explain the love that I feel for him and the joy that he brings me, and I would have never been able to guess or anticipate what this was going to feel like before he arrived.My prior self would cringe at how little I get done in a day, and wouldn’t understand or be able to comprehend how I could be so satisfied with being so unproductive... but I am.I am so happy and feel so full of love that nothing else matters. I’m sure eventually it will all catch up to me and I will care again. But for now I’m perfectly content with spending my time just sitting and staring. ☺️💛To those of you who like to read my blogs, I promise I will write one soon!! But in case you have been wondering, this is what I have been doing since he has arrived (along with the other mom things that caring for an infant entails😉)DM me or comment below what you would like to hear about next 😃

NEW BLOG!! “Heathy Alternatives”Since January is the most commercial month for #healthgoals I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and write about some of my favorite healthy alternatives.This year is my year of NOT being an extremist. I find most of the time I get too crazed about something, or too extreme it ends up back firing in some way.As I talked about in my last blog, you don’t have to be extreme, just consistent when reaching toward your goals.Keeping up with these #healthgoals all year long means that we have to have realistic expectations for ourselves.For me, that means having healthier options or alternatives for some of the foods I love most. NEW BLOG!! “How to Follow Through on your 2021 goals”I saw this quote on Pinterest and was just like 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. So naturally I had to write a blog about it. 💁🏼‍♀️I am all about setting big ambitious goals. I am a dreamer and believe that you can do anything you set your mind to.✨But I also know from experience, that often times in the new year we can get carried away with what we are going to do to get to those goals.We set these unrealistic expectations for ourselves thinking that the only way to accomplish those goals is to be a total hardo and extremist.☠️🤟🏻

New blog!! “How to Plan for 2021”If you didn’t know this already, I totally geek out 🤓 getting ready to plan and dream what I want to accomplish in the New Year.I’m not exaggerating, it’s one of my favorite things to do, like ever.💁🏼‍♀️So when that week between Christmas and New Years rolls around, your girl is taking an audit of the prior year and then dreaming, writing, meditating, and goal setting on what I want to work towards in the year to come.👩🏼‍💻Nothing makes me feel more on fire than setting a new goal.Except this year it felt a little different.I was still excited, but because of the year we just had, I also had the lingering feelings of disappointment, uncertainty, and a fear of dreaming too big. All of the things you DONT want to feel when heading into a new year of possibilities.So this year I took a different approach to how I am planning my 2021. Dear 2020, You weren’t exactly my favorite year

Dear 2020, You weren’t exactly my favorite year ever... but a lot of good came with all the bad. So I do want to thank you... Thank you for all the lessons I learned, the change in my perspective, and for the many many gifts you sprinkled in along the way. I appreciate you for all that were and all that you taught me.To the year 2021, We welcome you with open arms and open hearts. I have very low expectations for you, so that’s a good place to start, but I have every confidence you too will bring many lessons I need to learn, opportunities to change my perspective, and gifts sprinkled in along the way. Thank you baby Jesus!!For many of us this means closing out the year and trying to give that final push in business, work, and sales before the new year begins.Last week I found myself thinking “okay, how much time do I actually have left in the year to close things out?, and what can I actually accomplish in that timeframe?”This was not the year that ANY of us could have anticipated or guessed. Please attempt to ignore the messy room... this was the first real “bump” picture that I took randomly on a Sunday a couple weeks back.It was the first time I was like “oh shit, I really look pregnant now.”There have been many “oh shit..” moments throughout my entire pregnancy.Some of these moments have been when I first realized I was actually pregnant, or when I first experienced morning sickness, when sleep no longer came easily to me, the intense back pain that lasted unrelenting for weeks, realizing that rest and accepting help are crucial to survival..They have all been moments when I have been overcome with the realization that I am no longer in control, but this beautiful baby boy has taken the driver seat and I was just here for the ride.It hasn’t all been pretty, glamorous or very fun at times, (an obvious peak into my future) but I wouldn’t have changed one bit of it either.He hasn’t even come yet, and I already love him so much and know that he will totally rock our worlds.But these “oh shit” moments have been good lessons to me to remind me that good things come with time and you have to endure the ‘not so fun’ times to get to the beautiful and miraculous ones.I needed that reminder myself this week, so I thought I would share it with you.
Good things come with time.
Big changes aren’t always bad.
Let go and let it be, and enjoy that bumpy ride because you are headed somewhere great ☺️#mindfulmillennial

Now that we have turned the page and are at the beginning of a new chapter, we can all take a deep breath, and focus on other things.

The most important thing for me has always been my health.

Everyday I make a conscious effort to do what’s best for my body.
.
During hard and stressful times it’s easy to give yourself excuses and let your health take a back seat. When in reality that’s the time to hone in on your health, so it can help you get through the hard stuff.
