CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH: Self-Improvement

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am total self-help fanatic. I read or listen to any and every book and audible that promises to move me forward in my career/life in one way or another. Name any top writers, speakers, or leaders in the space, and you can bet I have either listened to them or they are on my ever growing list of “must-reads/hears”.

One of the more recent audio books that I listened to on my way in to work really affected me. In fact, it made such an impact that I then proceeded to buy the DIY Coaching program to completely immerse myself in its “Badassery”.

I am referring to Jen Sincero’s “You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life and “You Are a Badass at Making Money”.  They have changed my life.

Now I wasn’t kidding when I said I read a ton of self-help books. I have read Brene Brown (also fantastic), Tim Ferris, Tony Robbins, Malcolm Gladwell, just to name a few,… but this one really just “spoke” to me.

The way Sincero incorporates humor, realness, easy repeatable steps to follow, and her ability to turn the word “badass” into a noun, adjective and verb, makes you walk away everyday feeling like you CAN and WILL rule the world!

The “Making Money’ version was just what I needed to read, at exactly the right time. Since I am an executive recruiter, I am a commission-based employee and my results have a direct correlation to my livelihood. I was in a bit of a slump, a “low” on the recruiting roller coaster, as they say, and I was desperately trying to find a way or motivation to bring me back up to the top…  This book completely changed my mindset and I was off to the races once again, and thank God for it!

Jen makes you truly feel like the best is out there just waiting for you, and that we live in this abundant universe that provides limitless potential to each and every one of us.  I don’t want to give away too much of the book, but I want you to right now go on Amazon or to your local bookstore and buy it … Right now. You’ll thank me later.
